The Melia mineral protective balm offers a physical protection wit the zinc oxide (without nanoparticule), it leaves a white film on the surface of the skin, giving the protection against the UVA and UVB rays.
In comparaison, conventional solar creams offer a chemical protection : they penetrate the skin and interact with UVA and UVB rays to offer the chemical protection. They are usually made of unnatural ingredients such as Mexoryl, Tinosord, etc.
People with sensitive skin tend to tolerate better mineral solar creams made from plant-based cream. These creams are free of endocrine disruptors that are likely to be found in chemical filters.
